I'm officially done with dA. While I hate that photography has steadily become less and less important here, the real reason I'm leaving is because of site performance. Just today I've had more than 50 time-outs as I tried to navigate the site. That's completely unacceptable, and frankly, those that are responsible for this site ought to be ashamed of themselves. There's absolutely no excuse in 2006 for a site this size to be consistently suffering from this sort of piss poor performance. If dA isn't going to use my money to upgrade their server technology, then I will not pay dA anymore. Simple as that.
